HISTORIC MED-RISE BUILDING

The Trades Hall in Wellington is a historic building because it is the centreplace of the trade union movement in New Zealand. DTCE Engineers worked closely with architects to develop a seismic retrofit which has minimal impact on the historic integrity. The entire building was modelled in Etabs to determine the seismic capacity and the retrofit design.
