BRICK MID-RISE BUILDING

The corner building presented several engineering challenges. The building had been retrofitted in the 90's using flexible steel frames and diaphragms, the displacement compatibility between the bricks and steel frames was a challenge to model. DTCE concept retrofit design gave the owners enough information to decide to demolish the building instead of retrofitting.
