BRICK LOW RISE HOUSE

The owners of this brick house wanted to install a second storey and dig a garage into the slope in front. DTCE researched and found an economic solution to retrofit single storey brick wall utilising a glass resinforced cement. This was a new and innovative way to economicalyy strengthen single storey brick structures.
The steeply sloping ground meant the garage was built on three sides by retaining walls, and the founding soil was firm at the back but soft at the front. DTCE designed the retaining walls, foundations and superstructure.
